Mellitor develops a fully implanted glucose sensor for diabetics who need continuous monitoring of their blood glucose. This sensor will replace current glucometers, which require blood samples obtained by pricking the finger – a procedure which is inconvenient and sometimes even painful.

The new sensor is intended for long-term implantation of several years, and will supply the patient with frequent and accurate glucose readings, allowing him better control of his blood glucose and, consequently, longer complications-free life.
